The recent coronavirus scare throughout Australia and the world emphasises the need and importance of keeping your workplace or place of work germ-free. Offices provide hundreds of microscopic hiding spots for viruses and bacteria — the crevices in your keyboard, the button for your floor on the elevator, the communal fridge handle, and the list goes on.

A crucial aspect of our work is keeping workplaces sanitized and clean, which reduces the likelihood of germs and viruses spreading. This is done in two ways,

1) Our Steam Cleaning method

Hot water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are injected deep into the carpet fibres. Then, a powerful suction from our truck-mounted equipment, extracts deep-down dirt, allergens, cleaning solution and 95% of the moisture. The process involves boiling and extracting water at 212 degrees which removes pollutants and resetting the heat set memory in your carpet fibres.

2) Fumigation on services with anti-virus ingredients.

We use an anti-microbial formulation which effectively destroys a wide range of micro-organisms, viruses, odour causing bacteria and mould.

Our process includes spraying all surfaces. Including couches, prams, tiles, bench tops, working areas, keyboards etc.. Basically what you have seen in China spraying on the ground and outside areas. It’s used both inside and out. Hospitals use this exact chemical after infectious diseases in hospitals.

Our detergents employ a potential blend of 2 powerful bactericides. This has two benefits,

It provides a significantly faster and wider scope of kill including negative and positive bacteria, moulds yeast and viruses.

Super wetting technology enables the biocide to penetrate dramatically faster and deeper when organic waste or soiling is present.

Why is cleanliness important for the workplace.

Reduces the spread of germs: As a rule of thumb, any area of your workplace with high traffic and surfaces that get touched a lot is a germ bank. While cleaning and disinfection don’t completely eradicate the spread of germs, it significantly reduces the chance of them spreading.

Productivity: Provisions for a clean environment can increase the productivity of employees. Cleanliness can help drive motivation and boost the morale of employees.

Well-being: Providing a clean work environment helps in maintaining the well-being of employees. In a workplace where litter and waste is disposed of correctly and surfaces are cleaned regularly, employees take fewer days of sick leave.

Impression: A clean and tidy business space leaves a good impression on both its employees and its visitors.

Cost-saving: By maintaining good levels of cleanliness in the workplace, companies can save on cleaning costs and refurbishments, which may become necessary if the premises are not properly maintained.

“Current evidence suggests that novel coronavirus may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials. Cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection is a best practice measure for prevention of COVID-19 and other viral respiratory illnesses in households and community settings.”

Cleaning refers to the removal of germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces. Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.

Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.
